Pagan Ministries Mission Statement

Pagan Ministries is at this time a very small embryo organization, the brain child of Malcolm McLellan (Iron Bear), with the aim of growing to be able to help people in the local community both Pagan and Non-Pagan. In operational performance, it will be similar to other aid organizations with one exception. Pagan Ministries as its name implies is not run by a Christian Body. The scope of the help we hope to offer in the long run will include a listing of all aid organizations in our area with details of their services, times of operation, costs if any and requirements. Although much of this information is available in other areas, we simply hope to enable those who do not have access to the Internet or have difficulty in locating these organizations by conventional means. As we grow we also hope to be able to provide food packages and other assistance. At this time we are unable to fully formulate the details of some areas of assistance until we have taken several legal steps to obtain the necessary legal status, which we will need to be able to operate efficiently.

Pagan Ministries (or which ever name we finally decide to use once registered), will be a non-profit organization with the clear aim of helping those who we can within the wider local community. The question was asked recently: Why orientate this towards the Pagan Community? Why not just start this operation as a joint venture with a number of people?  Certainly it would be easier to follow this track, however I have noticed that nearly all the aid agencies helping in this area are either Christian or affiliated to the Christian Faith. Form a personal stand I believe that it is time for general members of the community to see that we as Pagans are willing to roll up our sleeves and give something to the community. We are also aware that this may make us a target from radical groups, which are to be found in all communities. However we believe that we have to at least make the attempt.

Professional Services:

We do however, provide access to Professional Counseling and can usually organize such help as baby-sitting, both of which may incur some small cost.
